For more than two decades FUTURES has fought to ensure that immigrant victims of gender-based violence who make it to the United States can find safety and are given a fair chance to apply for asylum. During the Trump Administration, FUTURES fought back against rules that would make it nearly impossible for survivors of gender-based violence to safely apply for and receive asylum if they qualify. We now continue to work with the new Administration to undo harmful policies and advance an agenda that provides safety and dignity for all immigrant victims of violence. See FUTURES’ responses to Trump Administration immigration proposals.
FUTURES is a proud partner of the Alliance for Immigrant Families and supports the Lift the Bar Act to provide equal access to government supports regardless of when an immigrant family arrived in the United States and the expansion of the number of visas for immigrants who are victims of crimes and human trafficking.
